Default zero location type

Within the Compute feature, you have the option to force zero location records when transaction records don't exist for a tax period. This option can be set in
Entity Settings
.
The Force Zero Location feature facilities the required reporting for locations with no activity on tax returns. Tax type assignments for locations without transaction records are assigned the same tax types as other locations within a state.
The Default Zero Location Tax Type entity processing option extends the option to force zero location records to states where there aren't any transactions statewide. Tax type assignment for these states will be determined by the Default Zero Location Tax Type option. The default is SALES.
Since the Default Zero Location Tax Type option extends the force zero location records to states without any transactions, the State selection filter in Compute is utilized. If needed, select additional states to create corresponding records. If a record isn't required, remove those states.
