Update business location areas

This topic illustrates an example of how to update business location tax areas.
  1. Go to the location register for the entity by selecting
    Configure
    .
  2. Set the
    State
    to Colorado and then set the
    Effective Date
    to January 2023. Review the list of expired tax areas, and if you have a location set up with one of the expired tax areas, select
    Edit
    .
  3. For this example, the expired tax area for the city of Fitz Army Hospital in Adams County will be mapped to: US>CO>ADAMS>UNINCORPORATED AREAS> RTDDENVR>CDSCICUL.
    note
    If County, City and District columns are blank, that means you aren't mapping the tax area in the locations and you can skip the remainder of this section.
  4. Select
    Edit
    to open the tax areas selection window.
  5. Set the tax area to Adams County, Unincorporated Areas as the city and RTDDENVR| CDSCICUL as the district and then select
    Save
    .
  6. Select
    Save Changes
    , then set the
    Effective Date
    to January 2023 and
    Save
    .
  7. Make sure your location now shows in the location register as: US>CO>ADAMS>UNINCORPORATED AREAS>REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION DISTRICT (RTD)>SCIENTIFIC AND CULTURAL FACILITIES DISTRICT.
  8. Repeat this process for all tax areas that are mapped to an expired tax area.
