Tax Accounting logs

Tax Accounting Logs provide extracted information from the system to comma-delimited .csv files. The information retrieved can be used as a reconciliation tool or for trouble-shooting your data from input to the ledger. The exported files also can be used by a report generator to create reports that are more specific to your needs.
There are 3 tax accounting logs that can be retrieved:
  1. Input
  2. Journal
  3. Ledger
Each record in theses logs contains an entry ID assignment. This entry ID can be utilized to trace or analyze how a record was handled from input to Ledger.
The input tax accounting log includes the records as presented to the system, either through balance import or manual input. The journal tax accounting log takes the records through the next step, whereby the tax area to be used for calculations is determined based on the place determination information given and method selected. This may be an area where differences arise between input and journal.
For example, using postal code for place determination, your postal code input may represent City A in your system, but the system has determined it's City B. The ledger accounting log shows the records through the next phase which is compute. For each entry ID, the basis and tax amounts by taxing authority related to the tax area associated with the entry IDare shown. These are the amounts that will be transferred to the tax returns.
Subtotaling is available within each tax accounting log as follows:
