Product updates in this release
You could not print the returns directly from Binders for a specific print level and print authority.
Includes Binder-level print for all local collecting authorities or a specific local collecting authority based on the selected level.
We've introduced a new
Print Returns
Binder action. This gives more options to decide what to print for all the returns of a binder period if those returns are registered in the Entity Configuration.
You could not figure out the tax area details of a specific Tax Area Code.
Lists all the tax areas, along with their respective Tax Area Code.
We've introduced a new
Tax Areas
tool, which provides a list of all the tax areas of a specific region.
Managing the site codes in the Entity Configuration was not straight-forward.
Sort and dynamic action names make managing site codes easier.
While adding site codes to an entity multiple times before saving them, the added site codes will stay together on the top, followed by the remaining ones. This help you view all the added ones together for ease of removing them. The button label will change based on your actions.
UI enhancements
Previously, in
Content Tools
,
Tax Rates
was the default tool. Now the previously visited content tool will be the default. This will help reduce the number of selections you need to make.
Entity Configuration updates
This section covers enhancements of the
Balance Import
functionality.
  • While adding site codes to an Entity, you might choose to remove 1 or more of the Missouri tax areas added to save. While doing so, all the added tax areas will appear together on the beginning of the grid. This will make it easier for you to remove them.
  • You can add the tax areas multiple times before assigning a site code and saving them. The action name on the window is now dynamic. It's
    Add
when adding for the first time, and
    Add or update
    for subsequent additions or removals.
  • The action on the window will be inactive until you clear any of the checked (added) records or mark any of the unchecked records (that is, records that are not yet added).
Key benefits:
Checked records are sorted together at the beginning of the grid.
The dynamic action name on the window helps you understand the active window more easily.
Content tools updates
We've added a new content tool for lookup of all the tax areas along with their respective tax area codes. The tax areas for all the regions are shown when you first use it. When you select a region, this region will be selected automatically when you next use the content tool.
Key benefits:
  • You can view all available tax areas, filterable by region.
  • Every transaction in the journal and detailed ledger has a tax area code. You can use this tool to find details of that code.
Print updates
We've introduced a new Print Returns binder action. Use this to print all the returns specific to the binder period of the target entity.
Print Returns has many options to help you choose what to print, including:
  • Country, State, Local Level, and Local Authority.
  • Print Levels: federal, state, and local returns.
  • Print Options: returns, page numbers, include digital signatures, diagnostics, form approvals, and check requests.
You'll find your selections from these options on a new Print dashboard that shows the process metrics for binder and batch print.
Key benefits:
  • You can print returns directly from the binder, without the need for a batch process or going to the OTW portal.
  • New print options give you more control over what you print.
