Tax rate changes
All of the following tax rate changes were incorporated into the application. Listed changes are effective February 1, 2026, unless noted otherwise.
Alabama locals
  • Calera is disallowing its discount for timely payments on sales and lodgings tax returns effective 2/1/2026 for returns beginning with the February 2026 period.
  • Columbiana increased general sales and use tax rates from 4.000% to 5.000%; increased machine sales tax rates from 4.000% to 5.000%; decreased automotive use tax rates from 2.000% to 1.500%.
  • Cowarts changed administration from Avenu to ALDOR.
  • Gantt and Gantt Police Jurisdiction changed administration from Avenu to ALDOR.
  • Greenville increased general sales and use tax rates from 4.500% to 5.500%.
Virginia locals
  • City of Williamsburg, VA rate change increased from 5.000% to 6.5000% effective February 1, 2026.

What's fixed

Louisiana Remote Sellers Return
The Louisiana Remote Sellers Return import file will now populate with the 2 new required fields for Motor Vehicle Leases and Motor Vehicle Rentals for upload to the Remote Sellers online filing portal.

What's coming

Louisiana Combined Return
The new Louisiana Combined Return is available on the Parish E-file website as of February 1, 2026, for filing January returns. Complete information regarding these changes has not yet been released by the state for software vendors. Therefore, these changes have not yet been implemented into the ONESOURCE Sales and Use tax software. In the interim, clients can file their parish returns manually through the Parish E-file website or upload the current .txt file through Sales Tax Online. State returns can still be filed separately in our software using the direct transmission method, or by downloading the .xml file and uploading it through the LaTAP portal.
Washington Combined Excise Tax Return
The
WA Combined Excise Tax – new form
has been updated and will be included in the
February release (v26.02.1)
on
ONESOURCE
. Once
26.02.1
is deployed, the updated form will be available for use in ONESOURCE for WA Combined Excise Tax filings.
