Tax rate changes

The application now reflects all tax rate changes listed here. The changes took effect on May 1, 2024, unless otherwise specified.
  • Arizona
    • The town of Payson increased the sales tax rate from 2.880% to 3.880%.
  • Florida
    • Starting June 1st, 2024, Florida will reduce the rental, lease, or license of commercial real property tax rate from 4.500% to 2.000%.

Product changes

  • We added a new ledger view type
    Region-Level Ledger
to the Ledgers that can be accessed from the Binder actions.
  • We added the
    Tax Returns
    tool to Content Tools.
  • Previously, print jobs with no digital signatures will fail as a Process Error. With this release, print jobs will complete with a message ‘Digital Signature is not configured for the returns’ in the process log.
  • While accessing the Ledgers from the
    Binders
page, the tabbed interface changes to a dropdown-based interface. You can select a ledger from the
    View Type
    dropdown.
  • We added a new
    LOCATOR DATA
tab to the E-Files Dashboard. You can consume the data on this table, be able to search by Eorg, Area, or Screen, and export the data into a file.
  • We revamped the existing user interface to view and access Content Tools so that you can go from 1 tool to another directly from the left pane. Also, we refined each table of the D2C Mappings content tool for better visualization.
  • A region-level ledger will be available on the system. Users can use this ledger to get the region-level ledger totals directly, rather than exporting the ledger data and summing up manually for each region. This is available from the Binders page as a default ledger and this ledger can also be exported into an Excel file.
  • We added a new
    Tax Returns
content tool. It serves as a lookup table for the user to find out what types of returns are currently supported by the system, for a given region, authority, and collector. You can also export this info into an Excel file.
  • For the deletions done on any Entity, the corresponding jobs on the Dashboard will be shown with Process Name as 'Delete - Entity' and the Entity/Batch for that job will show as 'Delete - <Entity Name>'. Previous processes based on the deleted entity will also update so that for those dependent processes, the Entity/Batch will be 'Entity not found' and no actions will be available for those dependent jobs.
  • You can export the returns as an XML file, correct any errors, and then re-upload it to replace the original file via the e-file Process Dashboard.
  • You can print the returns even without digital signatures configured in the Return Register of that entity. These print jobs will show as COMPLETE, along with a message “
Digital Signature is not configured with the returns.
    ” in the Process Log.
