Use state-assigned reporting codes

When you select a tax area, the Country, State, County, and City are selected. If applicable, a District's then selected. A specific tax area may be within one or more districts.

District names can be very lengthy and when there are multiple districts assigned to a tax area, trying to display the long form of the district names in a drop down isn't feasible. In states where there are state assigned reporting codes that are district-specific or tax area specific for that tax area with a district or a combination of districts, we've utilized the state assigned reporting codes in the drop downs to make them easier to select since a cross-reference from the state's available. If the state doesn't provide a state reporting code, we abbreviate as best we can to distinguish and identify the districts.
