State code assignment
The tax return ASCII export file contains a
State Code
field. You can populate this field using the web product state codes or the CD product state codes. The default's to assign the web product state codes. If creating a tax return ASCII export file, and you need to match the state codes that are assigned in the ASCII file generated from the Extraction feature in the Sales and Use Tax Compliance CD product, select CD Product State Codes

list, select the federal (Canada), state(s), or province(s) that you want to include in the tax return ASCII export file.Field tab
Company

column, select the Company Information
fields you want to include in the tax return ASCII export file. These fields correspond to those on the Company Information
window found within the binder on the Organizer tab under Global Setup.Check request
From the
Available
column, select the Check Requests
fields that you want to include in the tax return ASCII export file. You can find these fields on the check requests that accompany each return in the system.note
Multiple location returns include both a consolidated check request and a separate check request per location. The per location check request's intended for jurisdictions that require a separate check per location. Tax Return ASCII Export can't export the check request information from the per location check requests at this time.
Return
From the
Available
column, select the return data fields you want included in the tax return ASCII export file.Saving template selections
After making your template choices, return to the
General
tab and select Save
to save your selections. To make a copy of your template, select Save As
and type a new name for the template in the New Template Name
field.
