Chart of accounts

Manage source or summary charts of accounts that track financial data for your company's general ledger and consolidation systems.
The Accounts screen lets you manage 1 or multiple charts of accounts to fit your business needs. A chart of accounts tracks the financial data your system uses to build the company's Books and Records.
You can have a single universal chart of accounts, or configure separate charts of accounts to serve your general ledger and consolidation systems.

Types of chart of accounts

The
Accounts
 screen contains 2 types of chart of accounts:
  • Source chart of accounts
     - shows details about previously established chart of accounts.
  • Summary chart of accounts
     - shows details about mapped account codes from 1 or more
    Source chart of accounts
     into a summarized view. Add accounts to the
    Summary chart of accounts
     to define the rollup.
