Accounts

Map accounts to a financial hierarchy

You can filter accounts inside the grid to view accounts that have been Mapped or are Unmapped by selecting different filter options.
  1. Sign in to ONESOURCE, then select
    Administration
    .
  2. Select
    Company Info
    , then
    Accounts
    .
  3. Select a chart link on the
    Charts of Accounts
     tab.
  4. Mark one or more account checkboxes on the
    Accounts
     screen, then select
    Map Financial Hierarchy
    .
  5. Select the
    Predictions
     field to choose the predictions offered to you.
    note
    This function predicts financial hierarchy mappings for an account in a Chart of Accounts. The application suggests financial hierarchy mappings by analyzing past Chart of Account behavior. This helps you avoid manually mapping each account at all 4 levels in a Chart of Accounts.
  6. Select the predictions offered to you, if you agree, or view your options in each section in
    Assets
    ,
    Liabilities
    ,
    Equity
    ,
    Income
    , or
    Expense
    .
  7. Select your
    Financial Hierarchy Level 4 Name
     option for the financial grouping you want to map.
    note
    • Level 4 of the financial hierarchy is pre-defined and there is a default grouping for the financial hierarchy.
    • The
      Mapped Financial Hierarchy
       section shows the selected option.
    • Select
      Show Selected Accounts
       at the top of the screen to reveal the accounts you are mapping
  8. Select
    Map
    . You will see a
    Successfully mapped accounts
     message
  9. To re-map to a different financial hierarchy, select one or more accounts then select
    Map Financial Hierarchy
    on the Accounts screen.
  10. Select
    Continue
     on the message that explains the re-mapping of previously mapped accounts, then select
    Unmap
    .
