ONESOURCE Data Flow

ONESOURCE DataFlow now integrates with platform Entities. Administrators can create, maintain, and retire entities used across multiple ONESOURCE products, all in 1 central location.

Associate DataFlow to entities

  1. Add an entity in ONESOURCE Administration.
  2. Select
    Manage Apps
    on the
    Attributes by Application
    tab.
  3. Connect an application to the entity on the
    Manage Applications
    window.
  4. Switch the DataFlow application to green (Associated).
  5. Select
    Apply
    .
  6. Enter information in the required fields, then select
    Save
    .
  7. Select
    Update the current version
    on the next window.
This entity is now linked with Dataflow and you can't delete or remove the association.
note
DataFlow works with the latest version of an entity:
  • If you update the name of an entity but don't change the version, all requests for that entity in DataFlow shows the latest name.
  • If you update the version of an entity, all existing requests will show the prior version’s name, while any new requests will use only the latest version

DataFlow in ONESOURCE Events

  • You can only manage entities from the platform after the migration and once DataFlow fields are available there. The updates will flow to DataFlow.
  • The latest entity with a
    Ready
status appears in the DataFlow application.

After an entity is associated with DataFlow

Once you create an entity in platform Entities and associate it with ONESOURCE DataFlow:
  • View all entities in
    ONESOURCE Administration
    ,
    Company Info
    , then
    Entities
    .
  • View the integrated entity in ONESOURCE DataFlow.
note
The Administrator must have product permission to access Entities in
ONESOURCE Administration
,
Company Info
, then
Users
.
