ONESOURCE Data Hub
ONESOURCE Data Hub now integrates with platform Entities. Administrators can create, maintain, and retire entities used across multiple ONESOURCE products, all in 1 central location.
- You can use Entities as a Classified Blueprint field to validate and receive feedback on whether the Entity exists.
- You can aggregate and roll up information according to business needs using Published Entity Rollups.
- You can create and configure Entities in 1 central location. When you change an Entity, it will reflect across all products where it is used. You can also turn off an entity and track and monitor all entities.
Validations
If a Classified Blueprint field for ONESOURCE Entity has been established, the system validates the data when processed with platform Entities. If the Entity Code exists, the record status is
Ready
and all others will be given the temporary status Unavailable
until they pass validation. To view the status, go to Data and select the Topic Name.

Entities in Data Hub
Once you create an entity in platform Entities:
- Data Hub only checks for the Entity Code on the platform.
- If the Entity Code is present on the platform, it goes into theReadystate.
- If the Entity Code is not present on the platform, it goes into theUnavailablestate. If the Entity Code is subsequently added to Entities, the data can be revalidated, and the records will move fromUnavailabletoReadystate.
- If you completed the Entity Validation, you can apply a Published Entity Rollup to the data in the Aggregation area of the Collection.
