Copy client permissions in a group

The Copy Clients feature helps you manage client permissions in groups more easily. As an administrator, you can copy permissions from 1 client to all other clients in a group. This builds on the existing user-level permissions, making it simpler to manage permissions at the group level.
  1. Sign in to ONESOURCE, then select
    Administration
    .
  2. Select
    Edit
     Edit next to the group.
  3. Go to the
    Product Permissions
     tab.
  4. Select the product with the client permissions you want to copy.

    If needed, you can add or update permissions for the source client before copying. Make sure the permissions have been saved by switching to another client and back.
  5. In the
    Clients
     pane, select the source client, then
    Copy Permissions
    .
  6. You'll get a confirmation message reminding you that you're about to copy permissions from the source client to all other clients. Select
    Confirm
     to proceed.
  • The application will start copying permissions. During this time, you can't make changes in the client's pane.
  • The client's pane becomes active again when the process finishes.
  • The application logs the copy action in the Group History Report.
  • You can still view and change permissions for specific clients after applying copied permissions.
important
If you copy permissions again, it will replace any changes you made to individual clients. Be careful to avoid accidentally removing permissions.
