Statutory Reporting permissions

To assign permissions for ONESOURCE Statutory Reporting, select the application in the product list.
  1. Sign in to ONESOURCE, then select
    Administration
    . The screen defaults to
    Users
    .
  2. Search for a user, then go to
    Product Permissions
    .
  3. Select the client on the
    Client Assignments
    screen if
    Clients
    is enabled.
    1. Select the
      Clients with permissions
      filter to quickly see only the clients with permissions assigned to them.
    2. Select
      Next
      .

Template access permissions

  1. Click
    Select Templates
    .
  2. Mark the checkboxes next to the templates, then select
    Done
    .
  3. The Template Access section shows the number of selected templates with an
    Updated
    status to indicate a change.
    note
    • You may not need to access all available templates. You can grant a user access to specific templates.
    • If you publish a new template, you cannot access to the new template until an administrator grants you access.
    • If a newer version of a template is available and you are granted access to it, you can update the latest financial period within an entity based on what the template to the new version as long as you also have access to the entity.

Template entity permissions

Template entities
  1. Mark the checkbox
    All
    to give access to all permissions.
  2. Mark each individual checkbox for specific permissions.
    note
    • Template entity permissions include the ability to add, edit or delete a template entity from a base template you select. A template entity that is added or edited is a draft until it is published.
    • To publish a template you must have the
      Publish
      permission.
    • The
      Edit
      permission allows you to change the name of the template entity.
    • If you publish a new template, you cannot access the new template until an administrator grants you access. You can grant permission for the user to access only specific templates in the section Template Access.
Template entity access
  1. Click
    Select Template Entities
    .
  2. Mark the checkboxes next to the template entities, then select
    Done
    .
  3. The Template Entity Access section shows the number of selected templates with an
    Updated
    status to indicate a change.

Reporting entity permissions

Reporting entity and its financial periods
  1. Mark the checkbox
    All
    to give access to all permissions.
  2. Mark each individual checkbox for specific permissions.
    note
    • Reporting entity permissions include the ability to add, edit or delete reporting entities.
    • Once you can access an entity, you can also access the financial periods in that entity. This includes the ability to add, edit the date, and delete financial periods.
    • If you delete an entity that contains financial periods both the entity and its financial period are deleted.
Reporting entity access
  1. Click
    Select Reporting Entities
    .
  2. Mark the checkboxes next to the reporting entities, then select
    Done
    .
  3. The Reporting Entity Access section shows the number of selected templates with an
    Updated
    status to indicate a change.
Closed financial periods
  1. Mark the checkbox
    All
    to give access to all permissions.
  2. Mark
    Close
    or
    Re-open
    for specific permissions.
    note
    • This permission allows users to make a financial period not editable for all users.
    • The re-open permission allows the user to make a closed financial period editable.
Create backup and restore
This permission allows users to create backups and to restore financial periods.
  1. Mark the checkbox
    All
    to give access to all permissions.
  2. Mark
    Backup
    or
    Restore
    for specific permissions.

Reporting entity and template entity permissions

Period setup
  1. Mark the checkbox
    All
    to give access to all permissions for each section.
  2. Mark each individual checkbox for specific permissions in each section.
    note
    • Categories
      - This permission allows you to add, edit, and delete a category. The Edit permission allows you to edit the category name and change the order of the categories.
    • Account assignment
      - This includes the ability to assign accounts to categories and remove account assignments and import and export account assignments.
Journals
Add, edit, delete, import, and export journal entries.
  1. Mark the checkbox
    All
    to give access to all permissions for each section.
  2. Mark each individual checkbox for specific permissions in each section.
Reports
  1. Mark the checkbox
    All
    to give access to all permissions for each section.
  2. Mark each individual checkbox for specific permissions in each section.
    note
    • Report element XML
      - The Edit checkbox is disabled until you select the Edit option for Report Elements. This Edit permission is only available if you have the Edit permission for Report/Report Elements
    • XBRL
      - The Edit option is disabled until you select the Edit option for Report Elements. This Edit permission is only available if you have Edit permissions for Report/Report Elements.
Menu navigation/data capture
  1. Mark the checkbox
    All
    to give access to all permissions in each section.
  2. Mark each individual checkbox for specific permissions in each section.
    note
    • This includes the ability to add, edit, delete, and rearrange the navigation tabs on the ability to configure data capture controls.
    • The Data Entry permission allows you to insert, modify, and remove data. This permission does not allow you to configure data capture controls.
Miscellaneous
Regional settings and translate cache permission includes the ability to select regional settings attributes and edit the translate cache.
