Domains

The Domains screen has a list of various tax and business areas that are curated by Thomson Reuters and are available in several ONESOURCE applications.
ONESOURCE Central Management of Domains categorizes Domains into 4 types: Business Filings, Direct Tax, Fiduciary Tax, and Indirect Tax. Each Domain represents a specific area of tax or business, such as Value Added Tax, Goods and Services Tax, Sales and Use Tax, and Excise Tax under Indirect Tax. This system ensures consistency in labeling information according to the related tax or business area.

Associate applications with a domain

Associating applications with a Domain narrows down the displayed list of Domains in those applications.
  1. Select 1 or more
    Domain Types
    .
  2. Select
    Associate Applications
    .
  3. Select the applications to associate on the
    Associate Applications
     window.
  4. Select
    Save
    .

Enter an alternate name

Giving an alternate name for the Domain creates a custom name.
  1. Select one or more
    Domain Types
    .
  2. Select
    Alternate Name
    .
  3. Enter an alternate name, then select
    Save
    .

Export domains

  1. Select
    Reference Data
    , then
    Domains
    .
  2. Select the domains you want to export.
  3. Select
    Export
     to save the list as a CSV.
  4. Select
    Filter
     to show or hide the column filters.
