Account linking

There are 2 types of single sign-on (SSO) - Account Linking and Account Mapping. The type of SSO used depends on the Thomson Reuters applications that you use. The Thomson Reuters SSO team will inform you as to what type of SSO you can use.
The sign in ID for a user on your own network is not the same as the sign in ID used inside the Thomson Reuters application when you apply account linking. The user needs to connect their company network sign-in ID with the sign-in ID used for the Thomson Reuters application.
To do this, the Thomson Reuters single sign-on solution uses a "one-time-only" sign in window that the user sees the 1st time they try to use single sign-on. When they enter the Thomson Reuters application sign-in ID and password in the sign-in window, the single sign-on system links their company network sign-in ID and the Thomson Reuters application sign-in ID.
The next time they use single sign-on, the system will log them into the application automatically. They’ll only see the sign in window one time, which is the very 1st time they use single sign-on.
note
  • Setting up Account Linking is not done at a single user level. It is done according to your organization's decision and by system administrators at customer account levels. All the users of a company use the same settings unless excluded.
  • Single sign-on password expired - Password expiration for single sign-on users only applies to Account Linking. When your password expires, and you use single sign-on to sign in to ONESOURCE Platform, your organization's Identity Provider verifies you. Following verification, the system redirects you to the
    Choose your new password
    screen.
You must be an Admin to do this.
  1. Sign in to ONESOURCE Administration.
  2. Search for the user's name on the
    Users
    screen, then select
    Edit
    .
  3. Go to the
    Remove Single Sign-On Linking
    section.
  4. Select
    Remove
    .
This unlinks your ONESOURCE Platform credentials from your organization's Identity Provider. The next time you want to sign on, you must go through the linking process again.
