Limit access to the system using IP address allowlists

An IP address allowlist is a pre-defined list of IP addresses that are approved for accessing a product. Since only those users whose IP addresses are allowed are granted access to the product, an IP address allowlist can be useful for increasing data security.
If you access the product via Secured Web Services, you can set up and maintain a separate allowlist.
To set up an IP address allowlist, contact your Account Manager and provide specific IP addresses or a range of IP addresses that are approved for accessing the product. To specify a range of IP addresses, use an asterisk (*) as a wildcard character (for example, 12.34.56*).
After your IP address allowlist is set up, only those users who attempt to access the product from an IP location that matches an IP address in the allowlist are allowed access. A user who attempts to access the product from a location that isn't included in the allowlist is denied access. The message displayed depends on where the access originated from. For example, if access to ONESOURCE Tax Information Reporting originated from Secured Web Services, then the "Access is denied" error displays. If access to ONESOURCE Tax Information Reporting originated from an IP location that isn't included in the allowlist, then the "Login not authorized. Please contact your Administrator" error displays.
Contact your Account Manager if you're interested in setting up an IP address allowlist for your ONESOURCE Tax Information Reporting databases.
