Reviewing State 990 Data

ONESOURCE Trust Tax accommodates state reporting for exempt organizations and private foundations for the following states:
  • California
  • Connecticut
  • Illinois
  • Indiana
  • Massachusetts
  • New Jersey
  • New York
  • Oregon
In the account binder, access to the state 990 page(s) becomes available under the
Existing States
collapsible section on the States Summary page when one of the states listed above is identified as the situs state on the Account Information page, or is added using the
Add New State
collapsible section on the States Summary page.
For accounts that require dual return processing, the state(s) attached to an account apply to both the 1041 and 990 if the state is one of the eight states listed above. All other state(s) attached to the account apply to only the 1041 return. A state return that is deleted from the States Sumary page for the 990 return is also deleted form the 1041 (and vice versa).
