Installing the ONESOURCE Trust Tax-Remote Bar Code Collector Utility

To install the ONESOURCE Trust Tax-Remote Bar Code Collector utility:
  1. Use a file compression utility (such as WinZip) to extract the ONESOURCE Trust Tax-Remote Bar Code Collector utility from the BarCodeUtility.exe file.
  2. If you use WinZip as your data and file compression utility, select
    Unzip
     on the WinZip Self-Extractor-BarCodeUtility.exe screen to extract the files to the default folder. If you want to extract the utility to a folder other than the default folder, select
    Browse
     to select the folder before selecting
    Unzip
    . Select
    Close
     after the files are successfully extracted.
  3. Right-click the Setup.bat file then select
    Run as administrator
     from the pop-up menu. If the User Account Control dialog box displays, select
    Yes
    .
  4. The RegSvr32 dialog box displays, showing an informational message that DllRegisterServer succeeded.
  5. Select OK. The ONESOURCE Trust Tax-Remote Bar Code Collector utility is now installed. You can use the RemoteBC.exe file (which is in the same directory as the Setup.bat file) to scan barcodes.
