Freezing the Current Quarter Federal and State Estimate Data

When you freeze the current quarter federal and state estimate data, the icons under the
Prepare and File
 collapsible section on the Estimate Payments page become unavailable. ONESOURCE Trust Tax users are prevented from making changes to the estimate data from a register, making changes to the estimate options under the
Electronic Filing/Back-End Feed
 collapsible section on the Admin Controls page, and submitting any Electronic Estimate Summary processing request for the current quarter.

Freezing the Current Quarter for 1041 Federal and State Estimate Data

To freeze the current quarter for 1041 federal and state estimate data:
  1. Select
    HOME
    ,
    Admin
     then
    Estimate Payments
    .
  2. Under the
    Estimate Type
     collapsible section, ensure
    1041
     is selected for the estimate type.
  3. Under the
    Estimate Control
     collapsible section, select the
    Quarter is complete
     drop-down list.
  4. Select
    Save
    .

Freezing the Current Quarter for 990-PF Federal Estimate Data

To freeze the current quarter for 990-PF federal estimate data:
  1. Open the 990-PF account you want to freeze the current quarter for.
  2. Select the
    Account
     main topic then the
    Electronic Estimates
     subtopic.
  3. Under the
    Estimate Control
     collapsible section, select the
    Freeze Processing
     drop-down list.
  4. Select
    Save
    .
