Common Errors and Solutions

Error:
 Failure to authorize ONESOURCE Trust Tax to file 1099s on your behalf.
Solution:
 Select
SETUP
,
Information Reporting Setup
 then
Filing
. On the Filing page, select the
AUTHORIZE submission of 1098, 1099, and 5498 Electronic Filing to IRS (Federal)
 check box then select OK.
Error:
 Failure to eliminate errors and resolve diagnostics prior to IRS transmission.
Solution:
 Complete a post-processing review of all your 1099 accounts.
Error:
 Failure to file under the correct TIN and corresponding payer name.
Solution:
 Review your payer information.
Error:
 Failure to create corrections records when an original information return needs to be corrected.
Solution:
 Complete the corrections process.
Error:
 Failure to resolve differences in multiple paid-to names for the same TIN.
Solution:
 Review and correct the paid-to information under the
Paid To
 collapsible section on the Transaction Detail page.
