Completing a Pre-Processing Review

A pre-processing review includes reviewing recipient, copy-to and payer information, and the IRS form details for each information return generated for a recipient. In the account binder, the pre-processing review data is included in the
Information Returns
main topic, and the details for a form are accessed through the recipient. The form details are based on the data as it currently exists in ONESOURCE Trust Tax.
A pre-processing review can be completed at any time during the year. To complete a pre-processing review:
  1. Open the account you want to complete a pre-processing review for.
  2. Select the
    Information Returns
    main topic. The
    Information Returns
    main topic also includes the
    Recipient Errors
    and
    UnMatched Disbursements
    subtopics. You can select these subtopics to review and correct recipient errors or match unmatched disbursements.
  3. Under the
    Existing 1099 Recipient Summary
    collapsible section, select the form type you want to review from the
    Form Type
    drop-down list then select
    Search
    to display the list of recipients in the grid.
  4. Select the
    Taxpayer ID
    link for the recipient you want to review. The pre-processing review page for the recipient displays. You can now open each collapsible section to review the recipient information, payer information, copy-to information and the details for each IRS form line for the recipient. If necessary, you can change the recipient information, copy-to information and the form details. To change the payer information, you must change your payer information reporting controls.
