Setting Information Reporting Controls

Information reporting controls are payers, processing, and filing options you set at the PAN level. The payer and processing options determine the payer information and the transactions or sales that are included on your information returns.
Filing options are used to authorize ONESOURCE Trust Tax to submit your data to the IRS and to enter information required for direct state filing and filing through the IRS CFS program. Each year, you must authorize ONESOURCE Trust Tax to submit your information returns to the IRS. If you do not authorize ONESOURCE Trust Tax to submit your information returns to the IRS, you will not be able to prepare 1099 data and your 1099 data files will not be submitted to the IRS.
You are required to set your information controls the first year you use ONESOURCE Trust Tax to process information returns. Each subsequent year, you can roll over your payer information then review and update the information reporting controls as necessary.
