Processing Form 706-GS(D-1)

Form 706-GS(D-1) is processed by submitting a tax return processing request from a register or the account binder. Processing from a register allows you to select one, some, or all of the accounts in the register to process. Submitting a tax return processing request generates the following for each skip person:
  • Copy A (the IRS copy), which can be found in the Miscellaneous section of tax return print file.
  • Copy B (the distributee copy), which can be found in the Beneficiary section of tax return print file and the recipient package.
Copy A must be paper-filed with the IRS. Processing requests generate a tax return print file, which can be printed locally. If you want to print and bulk ship the tax return print file to you, you can indicate the bulk ship print method while you are submitting your processing request or you can submit a subsequent print request after processing. For Copy B, you can use Mail Service to print and ship the recipient package directly to the skip person.
note
The recipient's 1041 Schedule K-1 does not include any information about generation-skipping transfers, the GST tax or Form 706-GS(D-1).
