Used to denote trusts that have NYC as the situs.

Nominee/Registration Code
Optional code to have nominee listed as the source of receipts.
If the trust accounting system transfers an alpha, or alphanumeric, nominee/registration code, this code needs to be converted to a numeric value before being bridged to ONESOURCE Trust Tax.

Nominee/Registration Amount
The Nominee's amount of cash income.
Noncovered Security
This information will be used to determine when to check the 1099-B Noncovered Security checkbox beginning with Tax Year 2011 reporting per the Internal Revenue Code section 6045(g). This indicator is also used to determine when to report Market Discount and Bond Premium on the 1099-INT and 1099-OID.

NRA Alternate Name
This is the required IRS format for the beneficiary's name to be included on the electronic file. The 2 optional formats are
LAST NAME, FIRST NAME
or
FIRST NAME *LAST NAME
. If it exists, this field will only be used in the IRS 1042-S electronic file layout. It doesn’t transfer to the tax system and doesn’t print on the recipient's 1042-S form.
NRA Chapter Indicator
Indicates under which chapter the tax withheld amounts follow.
  • Blank = N/A
  • 3 = Chapter 3 (non-FATCA withholding)
  • 4 = Chapter 4 (FATCA withholding)
NRA Documentation is not available or invalid
Only for NRA recipients and indicates that there is no documentation or invalid document, so the NRA recipient is subject to 30% withholding to any income that is not exempt.

NRA Foreign Tax Identification Number
The Tax Identification Number assigned by the Foreign Country of Taxation and is used on Form 1042-S.
NRA No election made to receive treaty rates
Only for NRA recipients and indicates that the NRA recipient has not made the election to receive treaty rates and 30% withholding will apply to income otherwise subject to tax treaty rates.

NRA Recipient eligible for special treaty dividend benefits
Only for NRA recipients and indicates that the NRA recipient is eligible for the special treaty dividend benefits. When set, if the NRA recipient is subject to treaty rates for dividends, then the Chapter 3 exemption code 04 (Exempt under tax treaty) will be applied at the time of processing.
