- Date on which a shareholder needs to officially own shares to be entitled to a dividend or other distribution from the security. Record date is also referred to as date of record.
- Record Overflow
- Used to indicate the type of overflow record.
- Record Type
- Used to identify the type of record. Record Types 1 and 2 should appear first within each account with the remaining Record Types in date order.
- Related Account
- Used to bridge the Account relationship of Main and Subs for combined processing. If the Account is the Main, then this field should be populated with the same value as the Account Number. If the Account is the Sub value of this field should be the Account number of the Main Account.
- Resident State Code of Trust
- Used to determine the resident state code of trust. Refer to the table at the end of the dictionary.
- RMD Date
- The date by which the Required Minimum Distribution amount needs to be taken.
- RMD Amount
- The minimum amount you need to withdraw from a tax-deferred retirement plan.
- Short Sale Indicator
- Use this field to indicate the sale is a short sale for purposes of complying with Internal Revenue Code section 6045(g) with respect to cost basis reporting. This field will be informational only and will be a Register Only field.
- Blank, 0 = N/A (Not a Short Sale)
- 1 = Yes, it is a Short Sale
- State Accuracy Indicator
- Code to identify the accuracy of the gain or loss when no tax lots are provided:
- F = Gain/Loss unknown
- T = Gain/Loss correct, even if 0
- State Acquired Date
- Date of acquisition.
- State Code of Beneficiary
- USPS abbreviation used to determine the resident state of the beneficiary. Refer to the table at the end of the dictionary.
- State Code for State Tax
- Used to designate which state the tax was withheld, paid, refunded, or for which tax is due.
- State Cost Basis
- State acquisition price (basis) of an asset at time of purchase or adjusted basis. This number should always be positive, except for reversals.
- State Cost Accurate Indicator
- Code to identify the accuracy of theState Acquired Costfield.
- F = Date/Cost unknown
- T = Date/Cost correct, even if zero
- State Date Accurate Indicator
- Code to identify the accuracy of theState Acquired Datefield.

- State Gain/Loss
- Record 4: This field is denoted withNote 1in Record Type 4. It is only used when the tax interface program is unable to bridge Record Type 5, Lot Detail relative to any capital sale. The tax treatment of the dollar amount entered in this field is identified by the value entered in the State Gain/Loss Indicator data element.
- Record 5: When the Record 5Do No Calculate Gain/Lossindicator is set toYes, ONESOURCE will use the bridged value. When the indicator is set toNoor is blank, this value is ignored and ONESOURCE will calculate the gain/loss, as it has done in the past. See Record 5 section for a detailed explanation.
- noteFor systems that don't send State Gain/Loss, ONESOURCE Trust Tax has a Load Option to use Federal amounts for State. This may not be for state tax reporting.
- State Gain/Loss Term Indicator
- Used to determine state gain/loss treatment.
- Blank = Gain/Loss field used to determine treatment, no provision in bridge for 5-year qualified sales
- S = Short Term (ordinary income tax rate)
- L = Long Term (capital asset held 12 months or longer, 20% tax rate)
- M = Long Term (collectibles held 12 months or longer, 28% tax rate)
- State Grantor First Name
- First name of the state grantor.
- State Grantor Middle Name
- Middle name of the state grantor.
- State Grantor Last Name
- Last name of the state grantor.
- State Grantor TIN
- Taxpayer Identification Number of the state grantor.
- State Nontaxable Indictor
- Only for New Jersey (NJ), New York (NY), and Pennsylvania (PA).

- State of Issue
- Used to determine which state issued the asset. Refer to the last section of the data dictionary for available state codes.
- State Processing Indicator
- Code to identify the suppression of state return.
- Blank = Do a state return

- State Return Type
- 0, Blank = Resident
- 1 = Nonresident
- State EIN
- The account's state assigned tax identification number for the resident state.
- State Wash Sale Loss Disallowed
- Use this amount to indicate the amount of wash sale loss disallowed for state reporting for Sales. When this amount is bridged, the Wash Sale indicator will be turned on to indicate "Yes" it is a Wash Sale. This amount should be positive unless it is a reversal.
- Stock or Other Symbol
- The stock or other symbol of a security sold on a stock market (optional).
- Sub-ID
- Valid entries are required when used for split logic to assign the PAN. ONESOURCE Trust Tax Software doesn’t concatenate this field with any other field when loading or printing it.
- noteIf your system has multiple values for SUBID or Bank or Branch Number, populate this Sub-ID field first with one of the values, remembering that options are offered in the ONESOURCE Trust Tax Software for optional sorting on this field only. Use "Bank Number / Branch Number" located in Record Type 1, Position 403 to enter the 2nd value.
