Limit access to the system by an IP address allowlist

An IP address allowlist is a pre-defined list of IP addresses that are approved for accessing a web application, such as ONESOURCE Trust Tax or ONESOURCE Trust Tax Insight. Since only those users whose IP addresses are allowlisted (that is, added to the IP address allowlist) are allowed access to the application, an IP address allowlist can be useful for increasing data security.
ONESOURCE Trust Tax can set up and maintain an IP address allowlist for you. You can provide specific IP addresses or a range of IP addresses that are approved for accessing ONESOURCE Trust Tax and ONESOURCE Trust Tax Insight. To specify a range of IP addresses, use an asterisk (*) as a wildcard character for the range (for example, 12.34.56.*).
note
Your IP address allowlist does not apply to the ONESOURCE platform or to other ONESOURCE products you are subscribed to.
After your IP address allowlist is set up, only those users who attempt to access ONESOURCE Trust Tax or ONESOURCE Trust Tax Insight from an IP location that matches an IP address in the allowlist are allowed access. A user who attempts to access ONESOURCE Trust Tax or ONESOURCE Trust Tax Insight from an IP location that is not included in the allowlist is denied access. As shown in the following graphic, users who are denied access based on their IP location will receive the "Access Denied" error message:
Contact your Client Manager if you are interested in setting up an IP address allowlist for ONESOURCE Trust Tax or ONESOURCE Trust Tax Insight.
