Set security options

Security measures (such as password and account lockout policies for passwords) for ONESOURCE Trust Tax are set using the
Setup
tab in the
Administration
tile of the ONESOURCE Platform. The ONESOURCE Trust Tax application is used to grant ONESOURCE Trust Tax employees access to your PANs for providing support and problem solving.

Establish a password policy and set an account lockout policy

If you are an ONESOURCE Platform Administrator, you can establish a password policy specific to your organization and set an account lockout policy to prevent unauthorized access. Refer to the Setup article in the ONESOURCE Administration help to establish a password policy and to set an account lockout policy.

Review password rules in ONESOURCE Platform

Any user can review the password rules for your organization from the Change Password page in the ONESOURCE Platform. To review the password rules:
  1. Sign in to ONESOURCE at https://www.onesourcetax.com.
  2. Select the down arrow for your account, then select
    My Settings
    . The
    Change Password
    screen shows the rules for valid passwords.

Grant ONESOURCE Trust Tax employees access to your PANs

ONESOURCE Trust Tax let you grant or deny ONESOURCE Trust Tax employees access to the confidential client data on an indefinite or as-needed basis. To grant ONESOURCE Trust Tax employees access to your PANs:
  1. Sign in to ONESOURCE Trust Tax.
  2. Select
    Setup
    ,
    Users
    , then
    Support Access
    .
  3. Select the
    Allow ONESOURCE Trust Tax employees access for support and problem solving
    checkbox.
  4. Select
    Save
    .
