The Fiduciary Info Category

The options in the
Fiduciary Info
category (referred to as Fiduciary Info options) provide fiduciary information. Fiduciary Info options can be set at all levels. The Fiduciary Info options include:

Name (cont.)
Enter the fiduciary's name in these options. You can enter a maximum of 45 characters in each field.
The fiduciary name is used on all tax forms (except 1099s). 1099s use the payer information specified on the 1099 Control Information page.

Use these options to enter the fiduciary street address, city, state and postal code. The fiduciary address and the fiduciary name are used on all tax forms except 1099s. 1099s use the payer information specified on the 1099 Control Information page.
note
Tax forms allow only 40 characters for the fiduciary address. Abbreviate your fiduciary address if it is more than 40 characters.
Phone number (enter as XXX-XXX-XXXX)
Enter the fiduciary's phone number. The fiduciary phone number is used on all tax forms except 1099s. 1099s use the payer information specified on the 1099 Control Information page.
Your fiduciary phone number is used to remit New York and Pennsylvania balance due payments.

Fiduciary EIN
Enter the fiduciary's EIN.

Enter your fiduciary EIN before electronically filing Massachusetts and Pennsylvania estimated tax payments.
Fiduciary SSN (required for state e-filing if no EIN)
Enter the fiduciary's SSN if you do not have a fiduciary EIN and you want to e-file state resident returns.
Fiduciary Title
Enter the fiduciary's title.
Fiduciary situs
Select the fiduciary's situs state. If no state is selected, ONESOURCE Trust Tax assumes that the fiduciary situs state is the same as that of the account or trust.
Fiduciary E-mail Address
Enter the fiduciary's email address.
Suppress use of fiduciary digitized signature on federal/state forms
Suppress use of paid preparer digitized signature on federal/state forms
These options determine whether digitized signature for the fiduciary and/or paid preparer is suppressed on federal and state forms.

These options determine whether the digitized signature for the fiduciary and/or ERO is suppressed on Form 8879-F, Form 8879-TE, and state equivalent forms.

These options allow you to identify the fiduciary signature, preparer signature and the custom logo to use for recipient packages and/or client worksheets.
Second logo to be used (Dual logos) for 1041 and 5227 Greeting letters only. Use of second logo will prevent logos from printing on Grantor letter
This option is not available for 1099-processed accounts.

Enter a self-assigned, five-digit fiduciary PIN. The fiduciary PIN is used to sign 1041 and New York e-filed returns.
Your fiduciary PIN prints as an alternate signature on Form 8879-F for e-filed federal 1041 returns.
I authorize the ERO to enter my Officer PIN as my signature on 990 e-filed returns

Officer 5 digit self-selected PIN for signing 990 e-filed returns
Enter a self-assigned, five-digit officer PIN. The officer PIN is used for signing the 990 series returns that are e-filed.
Your officer PIN prints as an alternate signature on Form 8879-EO.
Fiduciary Signature line (states and form 5227 only)
For state 1041 and 5227 returns, enter the text that you want printed on the fiduciary signature line. The print location of the fiduciary signature varies based on the space available in the signature area. If there is not enough space, the fiduciary signature is not printed.
Officer/Trustee/Fiduciary Signature line (990 only)

These options determine what is printed on the officer or trustee signature line for 990 return types.

option determines whether the compute date or the override date is used as the date for the signature lines on all 990 return types regardless of the tax year. If you select

When entering an override date, use the MM-DD-YYYY format.

If there was a change in the fiduciary's name or address, use these fields to enter the old fiduciary name and/or address. The old fiduciary name and/or address is reported on all tax returns for two years.
