Setting OSMI Controls

OSMI controls include your state transmitter and contact information. You are required to set OSMI controls the first year you use ONESOURCE Trust Tax to prepare OSMI reports and file OSMI data. Each year thereafter, you can apply the same information to the next tax year by rolling over the OSMI control information.
To set OSMI controls:
  1. Select
    SETUP
     then
    OSMI Control
    .
  2. Under the
    OSMI Transmitter Information
     collapsible section on the OSMI Control page, enter your state transmitter information in the
    Transmitter TIN
     and
    Transmitter Control Code
     fields.
  3. Enter your contact information in the remaining fields.
  4. When entering the contact phone, use the following format: XXX-XXX-XXXX.
  5. Select
    Save
    .

Rolling Over OSMI Control Information

After your OSMI controls are set the first year, you can apply the same information to the next tax year by rolling over the OSMI control information. To roll over your OSMI control information, access the OSMI Control page by selecting
SETUP
 then
OSMI Control
.
Select
Save
. The OSMI control information from last year is now in effect for the current tax year.
