Setting PAN-Level Options

To correctly save OSMI data from mutual funds and common trust funds, certain Enhanced 1099 options on the Options and Overrides page must be set. These options can be set at the PAN level, the SuperBank level and as an account override.

On the Options and Overrides page, the
Print
 and
Enhanced 1099
 categories include matching options for summarizing municipal interest from mutual funds and common trust funds. The options in the
Enhanced 1099
 category apply to OSMI data. The options in the
Print
 category apply to other return types.
To set PAN-Level options for OSMI data:
  1. Select
    SETUP
    ,
    Options&Overrides
     then
    PAN Level
     or
    SuperBank Level
    .
  2. In the
    Enhanced 1099
     category, select
    No
     for the following options:
    • Summarize Municipal Interest from mutual fund or factored transactions, except for Trust Situs and recipient states
    • Summarize Municipal Interest from Common Trust Funds, except for Trust Situs and recipient states
    • Suppress statement indicating that taxable out of state municipal income has been reported to the state (CA, CT, MA, MN, MT, NY, RI)
      -Select
      No
       to print the OSMI statement on the Contents page of the recipient package.
  4. Select
    Save
    .
