Adding Custom Fields to Registers

The custom fields you define that are turned on can be added to custom registers using the same process as adding other register fields. You can find custom fields in the following categories in the first grid under the
Detail Columns
 collapsible section on the Register Properties page:
Custom Field
Category on Register Properties Page
Account
  • Permanent account custom fields are in the
    Account Master Information
     category.
  • Year dependent account custom fields are in the
    Account Year-Specific Information
     category.
Asset
Permanent asset custom fields are in the
Asset Master Information
 category. There are no year dependent asset custom fields.
Beneficiary
Permanent and year dependent beneficiary custom fields are in the
Beneficiary Master Information
 category.
Sale
Year dependent sale custom fields are in the
Sales Custom Fields
 category. There are no permanent sale custom fields.
Sale custom fields can be added to custom registers created from the following base registers:
  • Capital Sales WITH gain/loss (for tax year)
  • Capital Sales WITHOUT gain/loss (for tax year)
  • Sales with missing cost/basis for a tax lot
  • Capital Sales with Preparer Notes
  • MBS Sales
  • UIT Sales
  • REMIC Sales
  • OID Sales
  • MLP Sales
  • WSC Plus Package Tax Lots
  • MBS Tax Lots
  • UIT Tax Lots
  • REMIC Tax Lots
  • OID Tax Lots
  • MLP Tax Lots
State
Year dependent state custom fields are in the
State Computed Amounts
 category. There are no permanent state custom fields.
Tax Lot
Year dependent tax lot custom fields are in the
Tax Lot Custom Fields
 category. There are no permanent tax lot custom fields.
Tax lot custom fields can be added to custom registers created from the following base registers:
  • Sales with missing cost/basis for a tax lot
  • WSC Plus Package Tax Lots
  • MBS Tax Lots
  • UIT Tax Lots
  • REMIC Tax Lots
  • OID Tax Lots
  • MLP Tax Lots
Transaction
Year dependent transaction custom fields are in the
Transaction Custom Fields
 category. There are no permanent transaction custom fields.
To access the Register Properties page, select Modify Register Properties for the register you want to customize.
