Reviewing Applied Factors
To review applied factors:
- If necessary, move to the asset detail page by completing the following:
- From the Register Listing page, select Run for theAssets with WSC Income Reallocation Factorsregister.
- Select the check box to the left of theAsset IDcolumn for the asset you want to review applied factors for.
- Select theMutual Fund Factorssubtopic.
- Select the asset'sAsset IDlink in the grid under theMutual Fund Summarycollapsible section.
- Under theWall Street Concepts Factor Detailsection, review the information underApply WSC Factors. TheFactor sourceshould beWSC(which indicates that factors were applied and were not manually modified) orModified WSC(which indicates factors were manually modified then applied).
- To review the factors you applied, move to theMutual Fund Factorscollapsible section. The first grid under this collapsible section shows the payment and posting combinations, and the second grid shows the applied factors.
- Select the down arrow in the first grid for the payment and posting combination you want to review.
- In the second grid, review the applied factors. You can now review the factored postings at the account level. See Reviewing Factored Postings at the Account Level for details. See Evaluating the Impact of New and Updated Factors and Posting Changes for help in determining whether you want to review and apply factors when factor changes have occurred after you applied factors.
Reviewing Factored Postings at the Account Level
To review factored postings at the account level:
- From the asset detail page, select theTrust and Transaction Listsubtopic.
- The asset registers that list the accounts that hold the assets, the current year transactions for the asset, or the current year sales for the asset display.
- Select Run for the register that applies to what you want to review. For example, selecting Run for theTrust List for Assetregister shows you the accounts that hold the asset.
- Select theAccountlink for an account to review the factored postings at the account level.
Evaluating the Impact of New and Updated Factors and Posting Changes
The registers listed below are included in the
Wall Street Concepts Income Reallocation
base category. They can help you evaluate the impact of new and updated factors and posting changes that may occur after you applied factors. Based on this information, you may decide that you want to review and apply factors again.- New IR Factors from WSC Since Last Applied-This register displays only those assets where ONESOURCE Trust Tax received factors from WSC that are newer than those last applied.
- Assets with Posting Changes Since IR Factors Applied-This register displays assets where the asset data changed since factors were last applied. Data changes that result in an asset being included in this register are:
- The tax effective date of a mutual fund transaction was changed to another year in ONESOURCE Trust Tax.
- At least one new mutual fund transaction was loaded from a bridge file.
- At least one mutual fund transaction was updated by a bridge file.
- Weighted Average Difference from WSC IR Factors-This register shows the effect of each factor change received from WSC for an asset. This register is updated by a batch program once each day. If factor changes are applied during the day and the applicable factors are included in this register then the changes do not display until the batch program is run the following day.
