Release notes describe new features and improvements made to ONESOURCE Workflow.
New features
Edit notes
Users can now edit their own notes directly within ONESOURCE Workflow, allowing note authors to modify the original note content when the note is in
Open
state. Edited notes will display an
Edited
indicator next to them for transparency.
Edit note responses
Users can now edit their own note responses within ONESOURCE Workflow, allowing the authors of a response to modify content when the note is in
Open
state.
When editing a response, users can select specific recipients to be notified of the update. Edited responses will display an
Edited
indicator next to them for transparency.
Modify note type
Users can now change the note’s type after a note has been created, allowing users with appropriate permissions to recategorize notes by selecting from
Active
note types, ensuring notes are properly classified even if the original type was selected incorrectly.
Delete notes
Users with delete note permissions or authors of the note can now delete notes (and their associated responses) from both
Open
and
Closed
states. When deleting a note, users have the option to notify other workflow participants of the deletion.
Delete note responses
Users can now delete their own note responses when the note is in
Open
state. Users can choose to notify other workflow participants of the deletion.
note
Only the selected response is removed, leaving the parent note and other responses still intact.
Update note permanency
Users can now mark notes as
Permanent
or remove the permanent status after creation. Notes marked as
Permanent
will be carried forward to future workflow cycles, while removing the flag prevents this carryover. Users with appropriate permissions can switch this status on and off, with permanent notes displaying a visual indicator next to them.
Close and reopen notes
Users can now close notes to lock them from editing or reopen closed notes when needed.
note
When a note is closed, users can't add or edit responses, though viewing its history and deleting the note remain available.
Users with appropriate permissions can switch the note status and optionally notify workflow participants of the status change.
Addressed issues
Users can now successfully access and modify default selections by entity for templates with entity-based fields (such as Assignments).
Previously, users encountered an incorrect permission error when attempting to view or modify these settings, even when they had the proper access.
Users can now reorder filters in the Workflow tab's
Configure
settings, and get all filter data to display in their new positions.
Previously, users encountered an issue where reordering filters (such as moving "Associated Applications" to a different position) would cause the data to become blank and fail to adjust to the new field arrangement.
Users can now view the
OIT
tab in workflow folders with correctly aligned return information and e-file status appearing in their proper columns.
Previously, users encountered a display issue where orange lines appeared in the table and the e-file information was incorrectly shifted to the right, making the return data difficult to read and navigate.
