Workpapers release notes v2026.05.00

Upgraded code-signing certificate

This release for version 2025.04.12.0 includes support for the latest code-signing certificate, which is necessary if you need to sign the add-in with a Trusted Publisher.

Switch account support

Switch users can now switch between two accounts and perform
GET/SET
operations successfully.

GET performance improvement (OTP)

To improve GET performance, a
Custom Batch
option has been introduced under
Add-in Settings
Calculation
.
Users can now provide a configurable value (up to 500) to control how many items are processed per request.
The default value remains 101, with 200 or 250 being the recommended values for optimal performance.
This enhancement significantly improves GET performance by processing more items in a single request.
Follow these steps to set Custom Batch size in the Workpapers add-in:
  1. Open the Excel.
  2. Selet the Workpapers ribbon.
  3. Go to
    Settings
    Add-in settings
    Set custom batch size
. Give any numeric value, for example 200, 300.
  4. Clear cache GETs (retrieved data).
  5. Select
    OK
    .
  6. Select the
    Retrieve data
    button.
  7. Check if there is any performance improvement.

SSO Target URL change

The
SsoTargetUrl
has been updated to:
(changed from OpenToken to UDSLongToken)
note
For SSO login, if the user is running Workpapers Add-in version 2025.4.12.0 and the TargetResource in the add-in settings is a fully qualified SSO Target URL (rather than %Target%), the user must update that URL to the one specified above for their respective region.

SET data ribbon behavior changes in read-only mode

The following describes the existing and new behavior of the
Send Data
ribbon button when a workbook is opened in read-only mode.
Existing behavior:
  • When a user opens an Excel workbook in read-only mode, the
    Send Data
    ribbon button remains disabled.
  • If the workbook is later switched to edit mode (for example, by applying a Sensitivity Label), the ribbon button still remains disabled.
  • If the user opens the workbook directly in edit mode (without read-only restrictions), the
    Send Data
ribbon button is enabled as expected.
New add-in behavior (v2025.04.12):
  • When a user opens an Excel workbook in read-only mode, the
    Send Data
    ribbon button will be disabled.
  • After opening the workbook, if the workbook is changed from read-only to edit mode, the ribbon button will now be dynamically enabled.
