Secure your data by using encrypted transmission, individual authentication, and enforcing multi-factor authentication. Manage access through your organization's policies and ONESOURCE settings.
Refer to the following security information for Workpapers Custom Templates:
Encrypted data transmission:
The add-in transfers data between Excel and ONESOURCE Workpapers using encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections. No plaintext data is transmitted in transit.
Data sensitivity depends on template content:
Data confidentiality depends on templates used. Customers should review template content per their data protection and PII policies.
No application data caching:
The application doesn't cache data exchanged between Excel and Workpapers NG servers during use.
Limited temporary workbook storage:
Only template-related configuration information may be stored temporarily in the Excel workbook.
User-based authentication:
Authentication is performed on an individual basis. Access is granted according to each person's credentials and assigned ONESOURCE entitlements.
Supports single sign-on and standard sign-in:
The sign-in experience follows the customer's ONESOURCE account configuration. It supports both Federated single sign-on and standard authentication methods.
No shared user authentication:
Even when single sign-on is enabled at the account level, each person needs to authenticate individually. Access is not based on a shared sign in.
Customer-controlled access policies:
The customer's identity provider and security policies manage and enforce network access restrictions, such as requiring a corporate network or VPN connection.
Multi-factor authentication support:
Multi-factor authentication can be enforced when configured through the customer's identity provider, single sign-on policy, or ONESOURCE settings.
