Understand the next steps after enabling multi-factor authentication

Congratulations You've successfully set up multi-factor authentication (MFA) for your account. Now that you've made your account and your data more secure, your login process will undergo some changes.
  • When you log in to Client Center
, you'll be prompted to verify your account via your selected MFA method. This means approving your sign-in attempts through a mobile app like the Thomson Reuters Authenticator, which helps ensure that you are the only person accessing your account.
  • After enabling MFA, save your emergency access codes in a secure location
in case you lose access to your mobile device. For details on using emergency codes to turn on access when your mobile device is missing, see Generate your own emergency access codes for multi-factor authentication.
  • Prior to resetting or replacing your MFA mobile device
, be sure you unpair the old device from your account and install the Thomson Reuters Authenticator or another MFA app so you won't lose access to your software.
