When you use the integration features to send data from UltraTax CS to Onvio, that data mostly behaves like any other data in Onvio.
Integration basics
Clients and projects
Clients you create in UltraTax CS and send to Onvio will transfer over identifying information such as the EIN, name, and email address.
For individual clients (for example, those with 1040 returns in UltraTax CS), the email address transfers over to the client.
For business clients (for example, those with 1120 or 1065 returns), the email address transfers over to a contact with a relationship to the client.
Onvio creates tax projects for clients sent from UltraTax CS, based on the entity of the return. If no existing project template matches the information coming from UltraTax CS, Onvio creates a new project template.
Project status
You can change the status of projects sent from UltraTax CS, as you would for any other project. (Firm Management Advanced users can also change task statuses.) Changes in Onvio will also update UltraTax CS.
Status changes are bi-directional. When you change the status of a project (or task) in UltraTax CS, that change is also made in Onvio.
Invoices
Invoices sent to Onvio from UltraTax CS will appear on the
Review Invoices
tab in
Time & Billing
Billing
. They arrive in Onvio as adjustment entries.
On the
Review Invoices
tab, a new
Application Owner Type
column indicates the source of the invoice. Invoices sent from UltraTax CS will show that they were sent from that application to Onvio.
