You can request approval of files in the Documents area from anyone, even if they don't have access to Onvio. The approval request includes links for the recipient to preview or download, then approve or reject each file.
You can send approval requests by email or through Client Center.
Send a document approval request
In Documents, select
Communications
.
Select
Add
, then select
Approval Request
.
Select the client.
Select an existing contact or add a new recipient, then select to send the approval request via email or Client Center.
note
You can send an approval request for up to 4 recipients.
The Send via Client Center checkbox will only be enabled if the recipient is an Individual and has a relationship with the selected client.
Unregistered recipients receive a registration invitation from Client Center.
Select
Add Document
. You can include up to 10 approval documents in a single approval request.
note
Documents that are sent for approval are automatically locked by the application, indicated by a Lock icon. In Client Documents, you can select
Manage
, then
Unlock
to release the selected document lock.
Select the
Due Date
and
Expiration date
.
You can select the Security Options section to create a password as a requirement for the recipient to approve the files via email.
note
We recommend that you verbally notify the recipient of the password.
Enter the appropriate information in the
Email Subject
field and Message pane.
Don’t modify the variable text, denoted within square brackets, for the Sender names and Expiration Period or the information may not appear correctly in the file link message.

In Documents, select

Select the communication and then
Edit
.

Resend Email

Delete approval request
In Documents, select
Communications
.
Select the communication and then
Delete
.
Select
Delete
again to verify.

If you select a link that has been revoked,
Link is invalid or has expired
will display.
