Request Onvio documents from within UltraTax CS

From UltraTax CS, you can ask your clients to upload files and documents to Onvio Documents for your reference.

Before you begin

Make sure your client has a correct email address entered in the Contact screen in the General folder of their UltraTax CS file.

Send the request

  1. In UltraTax CS, go to
    Utilities
    and select
    Onvio Integration
    .
  2. Select your client or clients then
    Select
    .
  3. Select
    Request documents from client
    .
  4. Add a message and due date.
  5. Select
    Continue
    . Your client will receive an email with a link to a secure site, where they can upload the requested documents. After the document is uploaded, you'll receive an email and an Onvio notification.
If you need to check the status of a request within Onvio, go to
Documents
and select
Requests
. There you'll see all pending and completed requests.

See the uploaded document

  1. After the document is uploaded, in Onvio go to
    Documents
    , then select
    Client Documents
    .
  2. Find and select the client's name.
  3. Select the
    Tax Return
    folder, then
    Client Documents
    . You'll see the file uploaded by the client.
