When you or other staff members share a folder in the Documents area with specific clients, those clients will be able to view and download the files in those folders from within Onvio Client Center.

In Onvio Client Center, Clients will see only individual files from the folders you share.
Select the checkbox for the folder that you want to share in
Client Documents
.
Select
Manage
, then
Share Folder
.
In the Share Folder window, select contacts who are associated with the current client and who have access to Onvio and assign folder sharing roles. Assigned roles will determine the actions that contacts can take on the files within the folder.

Clients can't share files.
When a client uploads files to a shared folder, Onvio notifies the Partner, Manager, and/or Associate who is assigned to the client in the Clients screen in
General
. Onvio notifies the firm Administrator if you haven't made assignments in the Clients screen.
Update contact information to enable sharing
If you select a contact who doesn't meet the criteria for folder sharing, Enable Sharing opens. This allows you to define the contact relationship and enable Client Center access for the selected contact.
If Enable Sharing opens, follow these steps.
If
Client Center Access
is visible, select
On
to enable access to Client Center.
Complete all fields. Onvio prompts you for all required information.
Select
Save
to enable sharing for the updated contact.

You can also define relationships when you add or update contact information.
You can also enable Client Center access in the Clients screen.
View share information
You can view information about the shared folders and files by selecting
Share
next to the shared folder or file in the Client Documents area. The Share window lists all Reviewers, Contributors, and Owners for the item.

At the folder level, select
Share
to view and edit the list of people that share the folder. If the list exceeds 20 people that share the folder, select
Edit Shared Details
to view and edit the list in the Manage Share screen.
At the file level, select
Share
to view-only the list of people that share the file. If the list exceeds 20 people that share the file, select
View Shared Details
to open the Manage Share screen.
Edit share information
To change or remove access to a folder, follow these steps.
Select
Share
, then
Edit Shared Details
.
In the Share Folder window, you can change the role of the contact for the folder.
Select X to remove a contact's access to a folder or document.
