You can give a contact access to clients in Client Center by adding relationships. A contact can have access to several clients by setting up relationships to multiple clients.
Before you begin
Make sure you're assigned to a permission group that has
Contacts
enabled.
Add a contact
Select
Setup
, then
All Contacts
in Onvio Center.
Add a contact with the Entity set to
Individual
.
The primary email address is required to turn on Onvio Client Center.
If the contact already exists, continue to the next steps.
Add a client
Select
Setup
, then
Clients
in Onvio Center.
Add a client. If the client already exists, continue to the next steps.
Add the relationship and turn on client center access
Select
Setup
, then
Clients
in Onvio Center.
Select the client, then select
Edit
.
Select the
Relationships
tab.
Select
Add
.
Select the relationship.
Select
Select Existing Contact
and select the contact.
Select
Save
.
Select the
Client Center Access
tab.
Select the
Client Center
switch to turn it on.

If you don't see this switch, you can't turn on Client Center for the client. Make sure the client's entity is
Individual
and you have entered a primary email address on the
General
tab.
If Client Center is already enabled, select
Save
.
Onvio will ask for an email address if one hasn’t been entered for this contact.
Select when to send the contact an invitation to register their account:
Select
Send Now
to send the registration email immediately after you select
Save
.
If you want to wait and send the registration email later, select
Send Later
.
You can return to this screen and select
Show Details
to send the registration email at any time.
Next steps
After a relationship has been added between the contact and the client, the contact might want to register a Client Center portal.
