Add a contact

Before you begin

  • Ensure that you're assigned to a permission group with
    Contacts
    enabled.
  • Add UltraTax CS clients and contacts from within UltraTax CS.

Add a contact

A contact is someone like a person or a business you interact with. You can add them as a contact, link them to a client, and give them access to Client Center.
  1. Select
    Setup
    , then
    All Contacts
    in Onvio Center.
  2. Select
    Add
    .
  3. Enter a
    Name
    .
  4. Optionally, select the contact as Confidential, add relationships, define the fiscal year, and give Client Center access.
  5. Select
    Save
    when you're finished.

  • The fields that appear on the
    General
    tab vary depending on the selection you made in
    Entity Type
    . The default entity type is Individual.
  • You can also upload a contact photo. Select the circle next to the contact's name at the beginning of the page.
