Assign staff groupings, tax roles, and clients

You can assign staff to different groupings, tax roles, and clients, when you're adding or updating staff and clients in Onvio.

Before you begin

You need to add an office, departments, and staff levels prior to assigning staff groupings.

Groupings

  1. Select
    Setup
    , and then
    Staff
    .
  2. Either add a new staff, or edit an existing staff member.
  3. Go to
    Groupings
    on the
    General
    tab.
  4. Assign staff to an office, a department, and then set their supervisor and staff level.
  5. Select
    Save
    when you're finished.

Tax roles

  1. Select
    Setup
    , and then
    Staff
    .
  2. Either add a new staff, or edit an existing staff member.
  3. Assign them as a tax preparer, reviewer, or representative for forms 2848 and 8821 on the
    Roles
    tab.
  4. Select
    Save
    when you're finished.

Clients

  1. Select
    Setup
    , and then
    Clients
    .
  2. Either add a new client, or edit an existing client.
  3. Go to
    Groupings
    and assign a staff member as the partner, manager, or associate on the
    General
    tab.
  4. Select
    Save
    when you're finished.
