Internal: Onvio offboarding plan for CS Professional desktop only customers

When you cancel Onvio, there are a few steps you need to complete to ensure that you can access the sign in screens for your desktop applications. Leaving the Onvio licenses will prevent the CS Professional Suite application sign in screens from appearing. If you need to export your Onvio Documents files from Onvio to your computer, make sure this is completed before canceling Onvio.

Extracting documents

To ensure that you don’t lose any documents or files, make sure to download all of the documents before removing the Onvio licenses.

Remove Onvio licenses

If you are an UltraTax CS only firm, you can delete the Onvio licenses by following the steps in the following "Instructions to delete licenses for UltraTax CS only firms" section.
Internal use only
If the firm is on VO/SaaS, email CitrixPortalTech (CPT) at cs.citrixportaltech@thomson.com to remove the licenses for the firm.
To delete the Onvio licenses, go to the location for each CS Professional Suite application that you own.

  • X:\WinCSI\Licenses\UT16\I6DXNAME.*

Practice CS:

X is the driver letter where the program is installed.
Once you're in the right location, delete the license file(s). The license file is the last part of the location listed previously.

Instructions to delete licenses for UltraTax CS only firms

UltraTax CS only firms can delete licenses within UltraTax CS. If Onvio has not been canceled, you can follow these steps. If Onvio has already been canceled, follow the previous steps to remove Onvio licenses manually. Once the licenses are deleted, do not install UltraTax CS licenses again until the Onvio cancellation is processed. Follow these steps to remove the licenses.

    Delete all previously installed UltraTax CS Product Group licenses before installing current licenses

  4. Enter the
    Firm ID
    and
    PIN

How to make sure you have the correct sign in screen for CS Professional Suite applications

The sign in screen after opening a CS Professional Suite application will either display
CS Professional Suite Security Help
or
ONVIO Sign In Security Help
at the bottom. You will see the
Onvio Sign In Security Help
link at the bottom until you successfully uninstall the licenses. If you see
CS Professional Suite Security Help
then you have successfully deleted the Onvio licenses.
