Troubleshoot download and upload issues

If your import or download isn't successful, check the following file issues to see if they are correct.
  • Incorrect file format
    : Make sure you've saved the file as a plain text file (.TXT) and is truly tab-delimited. Open the file in a plain text editor (like Notepad on Windows, TextEdit on a Mac) to verify tabs are used, not spaces or commas.
  • Missing or incorrect headers
    : Double-check that your 1st row matches the exact headers from a downloaded template.
  • Data type mismatches
    : If a column expects a number and you provide text, it will cause an error.
  • Invalid characters
    : Avoid special characters that aren't part of the expected data set unless they're specifically supported.
  • Large file size
    : Very large files might take longer to process or could hit system limits. Consider splitting very large uploads into smaller batches if you encounter timeouts.
