Add and edit field notes

Use the following procedures to add and/or edit field notes.

Add field notes

  1. Select the field for which you want to add a note.
  2. Choose
    Edit
    , then
    Field Note
    . The
    Field Note
    window opens.
  3. Enter up to 1000 characters for your field note and select
    OK
    to close and save the note.
A blue rectangle will appear in the row to indicate that a note is present for that row of fields.

Edit and delete field notes

There are two methods to edit or delete field notes.
  1. If you know where a field note is located, perform the following steps.
    1. Select the button and tab that includes the note you want to edit or delete.
    2. Locate the row that includes the field note. A blue rectangle signifies a note is present. Select a field in that row.
    3. Choose
      Edit
      , then
      Field Note
      .
    4. In the
      Field Note
      window, change the text or select the
      Delete Note
      button.
  2. If you don't know where a field note is located, or to view all field notes that are in the plan, perform the following steps.
    1. Choose
      Edit
      , then the
      Plan Comments
      .
    2. In the
      Plan Comments
      window, select the
      Field Notes
      tab. All field notes in the plan are listed in the top pane.
    3. Highlight a field note and edit the text in the bottom pane or select the
      Delete
      button.

      When a field note is highlighted, select the
      Go To
      button to view the button and tab in which the field note is located.
