Copy data from one column to another

You can copy an entire column of data from one column (alternative and year) to another. This facilitates copying data when you have entered an entire year's data and want to copy it to another year or alternative without accessing each data-entry field and using the Auto Copy feature. This will overwrite any data entered in the destination column in all data-entry fields. However, application-generated items, such as personal exemptions, will still default correctly based on the destination year.
You have the option to copy data from one column to another column in the current tab or throughout the entire plan.
note
If you choose to copy data from one column to another throughout the entire plan (by choosing
Edit
,
Copy Column
, then
Entire Plan
), the Copy Column function will copy all data entry from the Source column to the Destination column in all data-entry tabs, not just the current tab. You may want to back up the plan's data before copying a column.
