Error: Plan is not accessible in its last known data path

Plan is not accessible in its last known data path.
Plan is not accessible for the following reason: Plan data has been moved or deleted.
A windows search of the plan ID is needed to determine the plan location. Update plan list now to remove the inaccessible plan from the plan list. For additional information on retrieving your Planner CS data once the location is determined, search Planner CS Help Topics: Update Plan List dialog.
You may see 1 of these error messages if the Planner CS plan data isn't available, either because it is saved in an inaccessible location, or because it was moved, deleted, or corrupted.

Solution

Complete these steps in the following order.
Update the plan list
:
  1. In the error message window, select
    Update plan list
    , then
    Update
    .
    • If nothing new displays on your screen, you should be able to open the plan. Select
      Cancel
      and open the plan.
    • If the
      Missing Plans
      window displays, continue to the next step.
  2. In the
    Missing Plans
    window, highlight the plan and select
    Delete
    . This deletes the plan from the list; it doesn’t delete any plan data files.
  3. Select
    Yes
    .
  4. Select
    Done
    .
If the plan was successfully deleted, you don’t need to do anything else. If the plan was moved and you want to choose a new location for the plan, continue to the next procedure.
Move the plan if the location is known
: If you know the location of the plan, follow these steps to move the plan to a new location.
  1. Select
    Tools
    , then
    Change Data Path
    and select a new location.
  2. Select
    Tools
    , then
    Update Plan List
    and select
    OK
    .
  3. Select
    File
    , then
    Open Plan
    .
Move the plan if the location is unknown
: If you don’t know the location of the plan, determine whether the files were deleted or moved. If the files were moved, use one of the following procedures to move the plan or open it in the new location.
Use Windows File Explorer
  1. Press the Windows key + E on your keyboard to open the Windows File Explorer.
  2. Use the search field to search for the plan ID.
  3. When you locate the plan, review the Planner CS homepage to see the data locations your plans are stored.
  4. Copy the plan folder from the current location and paste it to the correct location.
  5. In Planner CS, go to
    Tools
    Change Data Path
    and select the plan's new location.
  6. Select
    OK
    .
  7. Go to
    Tools
    Update Plan List
    and select
    OK
    .
  8. Select
    File
    , then
    Open Plan
    .
Use Planner CS
  1. Go to
    Tools
    Change Data Path
    .
  2. Search for the plan in a folder other than the last known data path. If you find the plan, continue to the next step. If you don't find the plan, use the previous Windows File Explorer procedure.
  3. Highlight the folder in which the plan is located and select
    OK
    .
  4. Go to
    Tools
    Update Plan List
    and select
    OK
    .
  5. Select
    File
    , then
    Open Plan
    .
If the plan opens and you want to move it to another location, complete the following steps.
  1. Select
    File
    , then
    Backup
    and back up the plan.
  2. Go to
    Tools
    Change Data Path
    and select the new location of the plan.
  3. Select
    File
    , then
    Restore
    and restore the backup.
