Open Plan / Rename Plan / Delete Plan windows

To open the
Open Plan
 window, select
File
Open
, or select the Open Open button button on the toolbar.
To open the
Rename Plan
 window, select
File
Rename
 from the main Planner CS window when a plan is not open. Use the Rename Plan window to locate a plan to be renamed. After you select a plan and select the Rename button, the Rename window opens, in which you can rename the plan.
To open the
Delete Plan
 window, select
File
Delete plan
.
note
Deleted plans cannot be recovered unless you previously backed up the plan.

Fields & buttons

Search
Use this field to search for a plan. Select a column heading in the list pane to narrow your search by the selected column (the name of the selected column appears in the name of the
Search…
 field), then enter in the
Search…
 field the 1st few characters of the information you want to locate. Planner CS highlights the 1st plan that includes the text string in the selected column.

Show plans for
Select a preparer, or
All
, from this list to limit the list of plans to those assigned to the selected preparer.
Plan list
All plans assigned to the preparer selected in the
Show plans for
 field appear in this list. To open a plan, highlight a plan and select the Open button.

Select one of the column headings to sort the list of plans by the information in that column. The selected column will appear in the name of the
Search…
 field, which you can use to search for specific information in that column.

Plan Description
This field displays the description of the highlighted tax plan. You can add or edit the description for an existing plan's in the
File
Plan Information
 window.
Plan information
The details next to the Plan Description field include processing information related to the highlighted plan.
Open button
Select this button to open the highlighted plan.

This is only available in the
Open Plan
 window.
Rename button
Select this button to open the Rename window, in which you can enter a new ID for the highlighted plan.

This is only available in the
Rename Plan
 window.
Delete button
Select this button to delete the highlighted plan.
note
This only available in the
Delete Plan
 window.
Deleted plans cannot be recovered unless you previously backed up the plan.
